As far as your grandmother, yes, there is a good chance you will drown if you try to do it on your own without certification or an Instructor. Claustrophobia? You will not feel closed in while diving and most people do not feel claustrophobic. Run out of air? Maybe, if you don’t keep your eyes on the Submersible Pressure Gauge after you are certified. Is your kid begging for scuba certification, but you just aren’t sure? We can introduce you to it the fun and safe way. Afraid of all the stuff? Sometimes we are too but what are you gonna do? Worried a big fish will eat you? Nope, your Instructor is the most dangerous creature in the water.

This experience is NOT a certification course. Instead it’s a short introduction to scuba where you actually get to wear the gear, breathe and swim underwater in about an hour’s time. At pool side, we go over a few rules, talk a bit and sign some forms. Then on to the shallow end of the pool where the instructor fits and adjust your equipment for you.

You will find yourself practicing a few easy skills and then we’re actually scuba diving in the pool. You’ll learn how to clear your ears and mask, float on the surface, swim with scuba, the best way to breathe underwater and a few other scuba tips and tricks. The instructor will never be further than arm reach from you and we limit our Discover Scuba experiences to four people.

We are NWA Adventure Dive and we “do it right” - your safety is our first concern. All equipment is provided so you just need to show up with a swimsuit and towel ready for fun!  If you decide that scuba is indeed for you there is a $50 discount on the PADI Open Water Diver Course because you took Discover Scuba.
