PADI Advanced Open Water Diver

Celebrating over 25 years of PADI Instruction!

It's an adventure!  The PADI Advanced Open Water Diver Course is a lot different than the PADI Open Water Diver Course. There are no exercises in the pool. No class room sessions. No written final exam-afterall you are a certified diver. Just pure diving and a little bit of self- study. Easy-peasy! The course is designed for the certified Open Water Diver who wants to expand their knowledge in various diving specialties and gain experience in the open-water environment.

When you sign up you receive the PADI Adventures in Diving Manual and all necessary specialty equipment but you must provide your own basic scuba gear. If you do not have your own gear yet, we can rent necessary equipment for the course!

You study the applicable sections of the PADI Adventures in Diving Manual, then we meet at the lake for knowledge reviews and five open-water dives over the weekend. Diving at the lake while learning something new – how much of a chore could that be? Required dives are Deep, Navigation and Night – you select two others from the list of PADI specialties including:

•    Enriched Air Nitrox
•    Search and Recovery
•    Underwater Photographer
•    Underwater Videographer
•    Peak Performance Buoyancy
•    Drift Diving
•    Boat Diving
•    Computer Diving
•    Wreck Diving
•    Altitude Diving

 Also, each dive during the PADI Advanced Open Water Diver Course counts as the first dive of the corresponding PADI specialty certification. So, after becoming an Advanced Open Water diver in order to become a certified deep diver you just need to do the deep knowledge development and one additional dive! After completion of this course you receive the PADI Advanced Open Water certification and card.
